In a disturbing turn of events during the ongoing elections in Bangladesh, reports indicate that two individuals were shot dead in a clash between rival parties at Pahari College, Chittagong, disrupting the electoral process in the Chittagong-10 constituencies.

The clash involved supporters of Nao's candidate, Mohammad Mohiuddin, and independent candidate Mohammad Manzoor Alam, the former mayor of Chittagong Municipal Corporation. The Chittagong Metropolitan Police DC North confirmed the incident of gunfire. Simultaneously, a woman chairman of Chittagong has been apprehended on charges of irregularities, adding to the tensions surrounding the elections.

Amidst concerns of potential violence during the voting, particularly as opposition parties have boycotted the elections, reports indicate clashes and irregularities at 37 polling places across the country. The Election Commission's control room has confirmed incidents of irregularities, with six individuals arrested on charges of fake voting.
